Mikasa was terrible to work

"Mikasa was terrible to work with. My order was significantly delayed (originally lost in transit) and reached me quite late. The pieces were not ultimately to my satisfaction but the cost of return shipping that I was responsible for was more than the cost of my original purchase. Be aware that while they say they take returns, it's actually just lip service and is not feasible. They would not process an exchange or work with me on any other solution. Great pieces but highly recommend purchasing through a third party with better customer service."

Chipped definition not good

"When they went to China, they lost all their definition on these plates. They’re just not as accurate or is clear as the old ones from Japan or Malaysia. I probably wouldn’t order these again. They’re even kind of different in color. And they were chipped."

Not a good match for an older set of French Countryside pieces

"I love this pattern and was excited to receive these plates along with several other pieces from the French Countryside collection I had ordered to replace or add to my set I've had for over 40 years. I have most of the original pieces and they have been used regularly all that time, so I can attest to the durability of the product. I have ordered additional pieces in the past and found them to be a perfect match. However, I was extremely disappointed in this recent purchase as the color has changed significantly enough that I cannot pair them with my other pieces. The older ones are more white, but the new ones are much more ivory or yellow. If you are looking to match your old set, be aware that these will not be a close color match. The new plates are also substantially deeper than the previous version so that they are a different height off the table and it is quite noticeable. I'm very sad that after all this time I will be shopping for a new dinnerware pattern."
